Today, in search engine optimization industry, the question is very hot. How to get higher ranking in organic searches a site by targeted keywords? It is the basic question of this industry. We, as an SEO can’t guarantee of #1 position but we always try to reach on #1 if we are ethical.
Unethical practice can reach us on #1 but it can be temporarily not for permanent. We, as an SEO analysis, research and study of search engines algorithms and try to follow that. We know that no search engines give their algorithm but we try to know that like a doctor to see the ups and downs in this industry.
I have always said that to get higher ranking by targeted keywords is not a vast task but I say here this word in another way that it is not an easy task also. There is only one fact to get higher ranking – keywords research and placement of those keywords in right way on the web page.
If we work as an SEO on a web site then we should understand very clearly our work. Our work starts from URL research and navigation of URL properly. URL research and navigation of URL is the biggest work for a site.
If you understand difference between dynamic URL and static URL then you will get succeed soon. You have to put your dynamic URL within static pages.
If the work of URL is done by you then you should proceed with keywords research and placement of keywords within content, title and overall webpage in right way. This is the basic and final work as an SEO which will guarantee to get higher ranking of your web page in organic searches by targeted keywords.
In this way, we have to cross some technical works also like – use of h1, h2…h6, use of fresh and unique content related to the web theme, use of alt attribute, use of anchor text etc.
Nowadays, in the SEO industry there is big problem of unique and fresh content. There is another big problem of optimized page and optimized content. If we solve these basic problems then surly we will get any web page in higher position in organic searches by targeted keywords.

In the search engine optimization content has greater importance for a web page than other things. Content is known as king for the web page. But what should be criteria of best content? Search engines always find better and unique information on the web page to guide in right direction to users.
For the better content there should be some criteria – content should be theme related, content should be unique, content should be fresh, content should be informative and content should be correct by grammar.
Now, on the web page content should be in optimized way. For the content optimization SEOs should analysis the theme of web page and content with related keywords. Keywords should be placed in right way within content. Keywords density within content should not be more than 5-7%. Duplicate content are not allowed for better ranking so, it should be avoid.
For the better ranking it is better to place content in the main body after H1. Scrappy content prevent whole web page so, before placing content all factor should be in mind. There should be standard of web page content, article content and blog content. Web page content should be fully grammatically correct, fresh, unique, informative and theme related.
If a web page offers well established content on the web page then there is no need to put Meta description or keywords but title should be unique and related to that content. Content and title two things can guarantee for better ranking of a web page in any search engines.

I have already mentioned designing aspect for a site in my previous post. There is another aspect that called development. There are some topics to develop your site from SEOs point of view to get better ranking in major search engines.
In the development aspect you have to check junk codes which have not importance on the web page. Junk codes make a web page larger and they are not useful from search engines point of view. Mostly junk codes take place on the web page from designer or developer ends. SEOs should check that unnecessary codes time to time. On the web pages there could be unnecessary spaces also. Those spaces can be harmful from ranking point of view. So, in during the development of a web site you need check very carefully junk codes and unnecessary spaces to remove them.
Another thing includes with URL structure. During the web page development you need to create web folder or web URL. You have to care that in the URL never includes _ (underscore) or – (double hyphens). From the search engines and users point of view in URL you need to include – (single hyphens).
If your site provides logged in option then you need to disallow session IDs to crawl boats. You can include robots.txt file to allow bots to crawl your sites without session IDs.
You need to check always your site on different browser and load timing. Load timing should be exceeded. If load time is high then your site’s bounce rate will be higher.
There should be installed tracking codes in every static page of your web sites. This is analytic codes to track your sites behaviour. The code will let you know how to improve your site, from what sources visitors are coming etc.
Most of the people add Meta refresh tag on the web page. It should not be added on the web page. Meta refresh tag always restrict to show the original content when a visitors request to the web site.

Design is the basic aspect of a website. But it can’t be 1st step in SEO. SEO and designing both are interrelated to each other in promotion of a web site. If design is strong of a website then an SEO can easily promote that site in top 10 by targeted keywords. Design is basic aspect but it should be after market research and competitor analysis by an SEO.
If an SEO analysis competitor site to launch a new site then now his basic work can be making synopsis and design of that site which should be perfect from search engine point of view and user friendly.
Design aspect in SEO:
At 1st we should proceed with URL structure that should be on the basic research of market because it has great importance from search engines, ranking and user point of view. If your site is in .html or in .asp then it is OK but if your site is in .aspx then it is very hard to manage URL structure with site header so, make sure about URL at first. It is basic of SEO.
Second level of designing aspect initiate with the validation of all page by W3C. Your all page should be validated by W3C with minimum error to satisfy search engines.
3rd level of designing aspect is checking of error pages in a site. From my point of view in the designing aspect always designer make 2 or 3 URLs for every page it is their great mistake. Multiple URL for a page create problem of canonicalization. If by chance the page uploads on your site and cached by Google. After you delete this page it means you are creating 404 errors for your site.
Always check in your site broken links that called 404 errors. If you find that error in your site then immediately removed that from your site as well as webmaster tools also. You should check broken links error in your webmaster tools daily. You can get external and internal both errors in condition of broken links. You can’t do anything for external broken links error but you can do everything for internal broken link error.
4th level of designing aspect in SEO starts with checking of hidden text on a page. Many times designer write some text to indicate changes on page that are not related to page or some times we find text in single pixel on page that are not for users. We should delete those texts which are hidden and not useful from user point view.
5th level starts with navigational structure of a site. In the process of making site we should always keep in our mind about that user who comes to your site to buy something. Navigation of site always people let knows about your site products and reaches them to add cart to buy that things.
6th level of designing is related to navigational structure of a site. Sometimes we see in many site “Toggle” (+) in their navigational links. Toggle contains many links in the sign of “+”. From my point of view navigational links should be free by “Toggle”.
7th level of designing aspect in SEO contains removing of .js and .css file from the page. .Js and .css files are important for a site but that should not be on the page. All the .js and .css files should be in separate files. If we don’t call these files separately then it will increase load time and will make your pages heavy.
8th level is related to the coding of the page. From my point of view site should be in DIV rather than TR and TD. DIV treat as text by search engines and they are soft. DIV don’t take more time in loading also and it is lighter than TR-TD.
9th aspect is related to links structure. Most time we use images to show navigation of sites but to get pages in search engine ranking it should be in text links.
10th aspect is the reality and future of SEO and web design. If we use flash on our pages very strongly and in creative way to show a particular things then it can lead your business very effectively.
These are my designing aspect for any SEO to get site on higher ranking in any search engines by targeted keywords.
Web 2.0 from O’Reilly Media to Web 3.0 January 6, 2009

No doubt, we all know about Web 2.0 more deeply from O’Reilly Media group. A conference was held by the group in 2004 about the understanding of web. According to the writer Tim O’Reilly it was “a brainstorming session between O’Reilly and Medialive International.” Its origin was not in 2004 by the conference of web 2.0 but the clear aspect about the web came from the conference. In the starting of what is Web 2.0 Tim O’Reilly writes, “The bursting of the dot-com bubble in the fall of 2001 marked a turning point for the web.” It means the discussion about web was started from 2001 and dot-com bursting was the turning point.
From the 1997 to 2004 Google was a dominant search engine in the industry of search engines. Before it Netscape which was the starter of web era was out of market. This was the situation to theories all the software, data and tools the web. In my point of view web 2.0 is nothing but theory of development in web which was started from search engine Yahoo and completed to Google in the major role.
Now, in which era we live, there are many contradictions between web 2.0, web 3.0, web 4.0, and web 5.0 and so on. But main contradiction is between web 2.0 and web 3.0. I will let you what people think about all these.
At 1st I should clear about web 2.0 from the example of Tim O’Reilly writing which was published in “what is web 2.0”:
Major differences of web 1.0 to 2.0 are:
Personal Web site – Blogging
Page Views – Cost Per Click
Publishing – Participation
CMS – Wikis
Directories – Tagging
Stickiness – Syndication
There are some more example has been produced by Tim O’Reilly but I have shown here only most important are.
With the example you can justify the differences between web 1.0 and web 2.0. I think quantitative changes of web 1.0 starts towards web 2.0 from the age of search engines but the qualitative changes comes in light in 2004 after the conference of web 2.0.
In the tag line of “what is web 2.0” Tim O’Reilly writes, “Design Patterns and Business Models for the Next Generation of Software” is web 2.0.
In my point of view web 2.0 development should be identified in two terms – Software development and “The Web as Platform” as per the Tim O’Reilly.
Software development was basic aspect and quantitative changes in the web which reach over the web 2.0.
Basically in software development was:
Blogging
APIs
RSS
XML
AJAX
Tagging
These are the major development of software which bring the theory of web 2.0 and on the basis of them a theory comes which was for web 2.0 and web as platform.
When we say web as platform it means people collaboration on the web. In this process blogging, tagging and APIs played a great role.
It was the theory of people participation on the web to create a new business model on the web. Adsense and Adwords is the major theory of this.
In my point of view web 2.0 essence was content. Technological development and all things were for better web. People collaboration with the information about the things by the web. So, the content became king for the entire web in the era of web 2.0 with the participation on web.
In this way RSS played great role in distribution of content. It was the qualitative changes from the hyper link to content distribution.
Now, the debate is not for web 2.0, debate is for web 3.0. I think still it is not the stage of web that we can say, we are in the era of web 3.0 but people don’t control themselves and give some examples of web 3.0:
Focused on the individual
lifestream
Consolidating dynamic content
The semantic web
Widget, drag, drop mashup
User Behavior, me-onomy
iGoogle, Netvibes
User engagement
Advertisement
But in my point of view it is not the stage which we can define that we are in the age of web 3.0. There are some solid reasons:
There are not any technological and software development like web 2.0
There is not a solid theory like web 2.0 which was “The Web as Platform”.
No site seems on the theory of web 3.0.
But I can say the quantitative changes for web 3.0 are continued. Web 3.0 will be for the web however you are the outside of web.
Through the mobile phones – blogging, RSS and all the news update is the symptoms of web 3.0 but we can’t give a theory on the basis of only one or two technological development. The development of technology and software will soon give the theory of web 3.0 front of us but still I am not agree that web 3.0 is our era.
Link Building Thesis October 31, 2008

Link building is associated with Off page optimization. SEO is divided into two parts off page and on page. On page is directed associated with changes, modification on web page however, off-page optimization is related to promotions of that page.
Optimization and promotions both things are associated very strongly to get higher ranking in search engines. If you are in online marketing you have to do the both things to get more visitors and increase sells.
Link is hyper text and it is index by websites. Link building is a practice of building back links for web page. Back links are considered as a vote by search engines by targeted keywords.
If your site is on top position by a targeted keywords in search engines, it means your sites have more back links by that keywords. Links value considered by back links. Back links should be from authority sites, relevant sites, high PR sites and with content.
Inbound and outbound two types of link are in the industry. If you get a link from a website to your sites, called inbound links. If you give a link from your site to another called outbound links.
There are many way to build links to your sites or site page:
Link exchange
Article Submission
Directory Submission
Social Bookmarking
Social Networking
Press Realeases
Blogging
Commenting
Forums Posting
Classified
These are the main way by which you can create back links for your site.
To get links from your site you need to point out URL and Anchor. Anchor will be keywords of your site page.
In the link building link exchange is major part. In link exchange there two theory mainly – One way Link and Reciprocal Links.
One way link – without contract you get a link for your site by a targeted keyword.
Reciprocal links- you can say it is a contract between two web pages. Reciprocal links have importance if they are from most important pages in the terms of relevancy. One link is considered as high quality link by search engines.
In the process of link building we should care on mainly quality of links. You needn’t to build tons of garbage links. You should create only few links from reputable and related sites. It will increase your site ranking and also prevent the Spam.
Have you ever thought that the search engine also working for relevancy? Yes, they are working for relevancy. They want to produce only relevant results by a search term.
So, if you are going to build some links for your site then work on link reputation 1st. Link reputation is considered as high quality links. If your site is related to SEO then you should get a link from SEO related page only and that page title should SEO related also.
Here if you get links from link exchange anchor then it will be less effective than SEO. However, the link exchange is OK also.
In the link building always keep in mind that give outbound links from your site only related to your theme also because you are navigating a user in right directions. The search engines consider on outbound links also. If your site recommending irrelevant site then its value will be reduced by search engines.
To qualify quality links you should care these things:
Page should not contain irrelevant links
Page should be with Page Rank
Page content should not be illegal
Page content should not be scrappy
Page should be on-focus
Page should not be lots of outbound links
Page should be inbound links also
Page should not contain virus and Trojan
Quality and relevant links give a higher page rank to your site and higher ranking in search engines also by a targeted keywords in organic searches.
But it doesn’t mean that high page rank always guarantee top ranking. To get high page rank you can take back links from high page rank but to get high ranking there are more conditions which are:
Page should be on-topic and link should be within content
Anchor text should be targeted in page title and should be more links it depends on search competitions
Historical factors are also involved in it
If your site is new then you should try to get higher Page Rank relevant links to get high page rank. If you have Page Rank 3 then you should try to get 1 more Page Rank it will give a reputation of your site. Page Rank scale are 0-10 by Google. Page Rank Updated by Google time to time. Mostly, after 3 months.
If you have Page Rank 4 you can start on-page optimization to promote your site. If you have PR5 then your site is reputable and can get higher ranking in search engines with little changes.
If you want to get higher Page Rank for your site then you should know the value of Page Rank:
Page Rank 2 link = 0.2 of a Page Rank 3 link
Page Rank 3 link = 1 of a Page Rank 3 link
Page Rank 4 link = 5 of a Page Rank 3 link
Page Rank 5 link = 25 of a Page Rank 3 link
Page Rank 6 link = 125 of a Page Rank 3 link
Page Rank 7 link = 625 of a Page Rank 3 link
It is most probable page rank calculation according to page rank value. So, if you consider on this your site page rank also can be increase but it doesn’t means that your site ranking also get #1 position.
During the link building we should care about:
No-follow links
Javascript links
Redirections links
Instant Links
Links Farm
FFA Links
Link page with lots of outgoing links
On-focus page
Web site home page should be PR4 at least
There are two trends in link building – Natural and Spam. Some people get links for their sites very rapidly, it is not valuable like reciprocal links if they are not theme related. Reciprocal links after all are considered as second class links. If you get reciprocal links within content it is best because it derive the user to your site.
If your site has PR4 and you are pointing a link of PR2, your site page rank will go down in next updates. If you referring an authority sites that has Page Rank 6 and your site has no back links still after this your site will get higher PR in next update.
Natural Links development don’t contain:
Incoming links to your site is not very large in short term
Only one anchor are getting links from your site
Only reciprocal links are there
Links are from instant pages also
You can create natural links from other means also which I have already mentioned above. Directories submission are also valuable.
During the creating links for your site always vary your anchor. If you have related to SEO you can make some keywords like – seo, search engine optimization, web page optimization, seo india etc. The keywords should use during the link creations and always should be vary for your URL.
Anchor should be in small letter. If you are appearing description during linking, change always that description. A fresh description with your link will get more value to your link.
Quality link can create from .edu, .net., .info site which has lots of content. A site which has lots of advertisement and less content can’t be more effective.

Google itself include in the guidelines of webmaster design part also. Here design is related from web site design. I want to share something about web design and SEO tips, news and articles because I am associated with SEO parts and working for last 2 years.
I thought in the web site promotion design helps much. How it is related I will give the introduction in the next post of the blog. I will write separately about SEO and web design. The blog is intended to to the my experience of SEO.
SEO – it is included with web site promotion and optimizations to get the higher ranking in search engines by the targeted keywords. SEO included with organic/natural listing. It is the part of online marketing.
Web design – it in included with usability, validations, visibility, structure and image point of view in the web site.
So, here is clear how the both are included with each others. I can say if a designer work effectively on the web site, SEO can guarantee about getting the higher listing in the search engines by the targeted keywords.
Goal conversion is directly depended on web site structure and the things depend on web designer fully.
