Design is the basic aspect of a website. But it can’t be 1st step in SEO. SEO and designing both are interrelated to each other in promotion of a web site. If design is strong of a website then an SEO can easily promote that site in top 10 by targeted keywords. Design is basic aspect but it should be after market research and competitor analysis by an SEO.
If an SEO analysis competitor site to launch a new site then now his basic work can be making synopsis and design of that site which should be perfect from search engine point of view and user friendly.
Design aspect in SEO:
At 1st we should proceed with URL structure that should be on the basic research of market because it has great importance from search engines, ranking and user point of view. If your site is in .html or in .asp then it is OK but if your site is in .aspx then it is very hard to manage URL structure with site header so, make sure about URL at first. It is basic of SEO.
Second level of designing aspect initiate with the validation of all page by W3C. Your all page should be validated by W3C with minimum error to satisfy search engines.
3rd level of designing aspect is checking of error pages in a site. From my point of view in the designing aspect always designer make 2 or 3 URLs for every page it is their great mistake. Multiple URL for a page create problem of canonicalization. If by chance the page uploads on your site and cached by Google. After you delete this page it means you are creating 404 errors for your site.
Always check in your site broken links that called 404 errors. If you find that error in your site then immediately removed that from your site as well as webmaster tools also. You should check broken links error in your webmaster tools daily. You can get external and internal both errors in condition of broken links. You can’t do anything for external broken links error but you can do everything for internal broken link error.
4th level of designing aspect in SEO starts with checking of hidden text on a page. Many times designer write some text to indicate changes on page that are not related to page or some times we find text in single pixel on page that are not for users. We should delete those texts which are hidden and not useful from user point view.
5th level starts with navigational structure of a site. In the process of making site we should always keep in our mind about that user who comes to your site to buy something. Navigation of site always people let knows about your site products and reaches them to add cart to buy that things.
6th level of designing is related to navigational structure of a site. Sometimes we see in many site “Toggle” (+) in their navigational links. Toggle contains many links in the sign of “+”. From my point of view navigational links should be free by “Toggle”.
7th level of designing aspect in SEO contains removing of .js and .css file from the page. .Js and .css files are important for a site but that should not be on the page. All the .js and .css files should be in separate files. If we don’t call these files separately then it will increase load time and will make your pages heavy.
8th level is related to the coding of the page. From my point of view site should be in DIV rather than TR and TD. DIV treat as text by search engines and they are soft. DIV don’t take more time in loading also and it is lighter than TR-TD.
9th aspect is related to links structure. Most time we use images to show navigation of sites but to get pages in search engine ranking it should be in text links.
10th aspect is the reality and future of SEO and web design. If we use flash on our pages very strongly and in creative way to show a particular things then it can lead your business very effectively.
These are my designing aspect for any SEO to get site on higher ranking in any search engines by targeted keywords.

No doubt, we all know about Web 2.0 more deeply from O’Reilly Media group. A conference was held by the group in 2004 about the understanding of web. According to the writer Tim O’Reilly it was “a brainstorming session between O’Reilly and Medialive International.” Its origin was not in 2004 by the conference of web 2.0 but the clear aspect about the web came from the conference. In the starting of what is Web 2.0 Tim O’Reilly writes, “The bursting of the dot-com bubble in the fall of 2001 marked a turning point for the web.” It means the discussion about web was started from 2001 and dot-com bursting was the turning point.
From the 1997 to 2004 Google was a dominant search engine in the industry of search engines. Before it Netscape which was the starter of web era was out of market. This was the situation to theories all the software, data and tools the web. In my point of view web 2.0 is nothing but theory of development in web which was started from search engine Yahoo and completed to Google in the major role.
Now, in which era we live, there are many contradictions between web 2.0, web 3.0, web 4.0, and web 5.0 and so on. But main contradiction is between web 2.0 and web 3.0. I will let you what people think about all these.
At 1st I should clear about web 2.0 from the example of Tim O’Reilly writing which was published in “what is web 2.0”:
Major differences of web 1.0 to 2.0 are:
Personal Web site – Blogging
Page Views – Cost Per Click
Publishing – Participation
CMS – Wikis
Directories – Tagging
Stickiness – Syndication
There are some more example has been produced by Tim O’Reilly but I have shown here only most important are.
With the example you can justify the differences between web 1.0 and web 2.0. I think quantitative changes of web 1.0 starts towards web 2.0 from the age of search engines but the qualitative changes comes in light in 2004 after the conference of web 2.0.
In the tag line of “what is web 2.0” Tim O’Reilly writes, “Design Patterns and Business Models for the Next Generation of Software” is web 2.0.
In my point of view web 2.0 development should be identified in two terms – Software development and “The Web as Platform” as per the Tim O’Reilly.
Software development was basic aspect and quantitative changes in the web which reach over the web 2.0.
Basically in software development was:
Blogging
APIs
RSS
XML
AJAX
Tagging
These are the major development of software which bring the theory of web 2.0 and on the basis of them a theory comes which was for web 2.0 and web as platform.
When we say web as platform it means people collaboration on the web. In this process blogging, tagging and APIs played a great role.
It was the theory of people participation on the web to create a new business model on the web. Adsense and Adwords is the major theory of this.
In my point of view web 2.0 essence was content. Technological development and all things were for better web. People collaboration with the information about the things by the web. So, the content became king for the entire web in the era of web 2.0 with the participation on web.
In this way RSS played great role in distribution of content. It was the qualitative changes from the hyper link to content distribution.
Now, the debate is not for web 2.0, debate is for web 3.0. I think still it is not the stage of web that we can say, we are in the era of web 3.0 but people don’t control themselves and give some examples of web 3.0:
Focused on the individual
lifestream
Consolidating dynamic content
The semantic web
Widget, drag, drop mashup
User Behavior, me-onomy
iGoogle, Netvibes
User engagement
Advertisement
But in my point of view it is not the stage which we can define that we are in the age of web 3.0. There are some solid reasons:
There are not any technological and software development like web 2.0
There is not a solid theory like web 2.0 which was “The Web as Platform”.
No site seems on the theory of web 3.0.
But I can say the quantitative changes for web 3.0 are continued. Web 3.0 will be for the web however you are the outside of web.
Through the mobile phones – blogging, RSS and all the news update is the symptoms of web 3.0 but we can’t give a theory on the basis of only one or two technological development. The development of technology and software will soon give the theory of web 3.0 front of us but still I am not agree that web 3.0 is our era.

Google launched AdWords in October 2002. AdWords is a service by Google to advertise online products or services on Google. It offers Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising for text and image both. It distribute advertisement local, national, and international on Google.
Now, Google has increased searches on local based also. You can go through language searches also on Google like – Hindi, Bengali, English, Spanish etc. Like these you can search your product on geographical basis also like – .co.uk., .com, .co.in, .de etc.
Advertisement with AdWords is a part of online marketing now. People regularly comes on web to search a products or buy a products similarly the products owner in the competitive market want a higher position on the search engines (especially in Google) by the targeted keywords. In this situation AdWords are needed to popularizes or advertise the product on Google.
Online Marketing is related to search engines and web sites. No doubt most popular search engine is Google and people want their site in the search engine in #1 ranking by the targeted keywords but it is not easy. In this context we can discuss that Google produce two types of searches (however, Yahoo and MSN or other search engines also produce two types of searches) – Sponserd listing and Organic Listing.
Sponsered listing is the AdWords campaign while Organic listing is SEO campaign. SEO activity takes time to get #1 ranking in search engines while Sponsered listing takes no time if you have money to invest in Adwords programme.
Here we have to discuss only Adwords so, I can not elaborate more about SEO. Now, I am going to write step by step by AdWords.
AdWords Programme run by business companies mainly to advertise business and services on the Google. I have already explain that to run AdWords campaign there is need of money. But the AdWords guide learn you how to invest your money properly to get more sales and more leads.
You can say AdWords is the campaign of generating more sales and more leads. The campaign run on ROI (Return On Investment) and you have to decide what is your CTR (Click Through Ratio). If you have a business and want to run an AdWords campaign then what you will think? I think you need more return whatever you invest.
I think AdWords is not only a programme of earning sales but also it is a programme of popularizing a products and services to the customer and users. You have to run the programme in effective to create trust within people to your site. It is the campaign for new users and customers to let them aware towards your services and site. If you once do that your ROI will be high and investment will be low. But the practice will take time.
For example – if you advertise a site by AdWords campaign. A user come to your site by clicking on that but second time when he come to your site not click on the AdWords adsens, he comes by typing your websites name. It is the right advertisement.
It is the general thought but you need more advertisement and more money then what should you have to do. You can choose Yahoo, MSN or others way to advertise your site. But I am talking here about Google AdWords because I have found that more sales and more lead generation done by Google advertising. So, no doubt I will go with Adwords.
Whether you are doing SEO or AdWords you need to derive targeted traffic to your site. The practice will create trust within customer towards your site as I already mentioned above. To get targeted traffic you need to know about something which is below:
If you don’t derive targeted traffic by AdWords campaign, it means your investment is high and return is low.
You need to research your market 1st.
You need place that URL what products you are advertising not home page.
You need to know about keywords what the customers are searching.
You can use Google keywords tools to analyze keywords for your site or products.
It is not important that you are including always high traffic keywords in your adwords programme. Important thing is what keywords are deriving sales.
With the Google AdWords you have to work as sales man. You need to focus Title, Landing page, Keywords and ad writing.
